Benefits of joining Queensland's largest and most widespread active community of women

Our vision is simple: together, in friendship, we enrich the lives of women through diverse opportunities.

This is achieved by advocating and providing opportunities for women centred around education, health and community throughout every phase of a woman’s life.

We are an active community of women who, together, improve the lives of people living in regional, rural and remote Queensland.

These are just some of the reasons women join QCWA

“ I joined the QCWA to engage with the community and make new friends.”

Colleen Heldt, Daybora Branch Member and Ekka Convenor.

“I am certain, those who join, will discover a delightful bounty of knowledge and make connections with individuals who can impact lives in a very meaningful way,”

Erika La Budda, Supporter Member and Country Kitchens Facilitator.

As a  Branch Member of the QCWA you can:

  • Any woman over 18 years of age can join as a Branch member.

  • Get involved with branch activities such as events and fundraising, entering QCWA competitions and a range of learning opportunities.

  • Connect and collaborate with a varied membership, actively contributing to your local community.

  • Volunteer to become a Country Kitchens Facilitator and learn how to conduct activities within their communities, alongside the Country Kitchens team and Branch Facilitators.

  • Access to all the resources in the Member Only Area of the QCWA website.

  • Access to member only discounts and services on selected QCWA accommodation.

  • Attend QCWA events such as State Conferences, Region Conferences and International Study Conferences.

  • Attend State Conference as a voting delegate or an observer.

  • Receive full voting rights at Branch, Region Conference and International Study Conference.

  • Receive the QCWA members newsletter.

So whether you’re interested in networking, making new connections and friends, sharing and learning new skills, or helping your local community, the QCWA has a membership type to suit.

Branch membership is by far the most popular and rewarding way women get involved with QCWA. Each branch’s activities are driven by the unique skills and interests of the branch members in the context of their local community.

Our very important advocacy work starts at our branches.

The QCWA would like to thank the following for their valued support.

What bonds us is friendship and a strong desire to help others.
